My seventh NaSoAlMo album. I hate these things. I really do. I do not work well in isolation. I do these little challenges because I expect it will make me better as a songwriter. I figure, if I never take the time to do originals, I'll never every get better at it, so the for the past 7 years, I've endured these stupid challenges that just showcase how bad I am at this shit. It's not like I'm proud of my work. Ever. I cannot point to any song on any NaSoAlMo album and say with pride "I made that." No, at this point, I want to be done with this. Because of the fucked up rule about not using any old work, that means the nearly 100 unfinished instrumental songs are off limits here, so I just make a new album of unfinished instrumentals. It's just an awful feeling. I have so many unfinished songs, I have no business ever adding to that pool anymore. I called this album Kyle Sings partly in jest, because when it comes to original music, I almost NEVER have anything to sing about. It's not like anyone but me will ever see these liner notes anyway. I ought to start up a group to make an album in a month with help from a friend and you can also use old leftover instrumentals, but in the same breath, most of my unfinished instrumentals are so bad, I don't want to hear them again, so I don't even know what to do. Well, here's it is. You found it. I sure as hell won't be advertising this anywhere. All my previous albums I released on Spotify, almost as a joke. I don't even have the energy or strength to do that for this release. Yeah, I think I'm done with this shit. It only makes me feel bad about myself just talking about it.
