The text that I posted in TM for this song...
Another TMer asked if I would play bass on this track, and I accepted. Then he dropped out due to extenuating circumstances. I already had a song picked out, but this one turned out SO much better than I could have imagined! So, I asked Curtis Northrup to play drums, Bill Shaouy to play piano, Keith Klingensmith and Andy Klingensmith to sing backing vocals, and I would take over lead vocals, electric and 12-string acoustic guitar, bass and some percussion. Keith had the idea to break up the vocals so that I sing 1st and 4th verses, Keith would sing the 2nd verse and 1st bridge, and Andy would sing the 3rd verse and 2nd bridge, and Keith and Andy would handle all of the backing vocals. By the way, the first track, which was drums, was recorded Wednesday night. The final track, which was Keith and Andy’s vocals, were finished Thursday night. Mixed late Thursday and arrived at a final mix Friday morning. Pretty quick turn-around for something like this. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Okay, now for the “tell” portion. I know, didn’t I just FINISH telling a story?? So, this month has been a really, really rough month. I’m doing my best to stay positive and do things that I love, and Theme Music is right there at the top. Collaborating with musicians all around the world that I’ve never even met is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done, and I’ll always be grateful to Keith for bringing me into this beautiful world.
